"I shut my eyes and all the world drops dead; I lift my eyes and all is born again" - Sylvia Plath

Awaken oh sleeper and remove your mask of shame. No more hiding beneath the earth shackled like a slave, remember it was you, who dug your own grave. Hypnotized, you fell under the serpents spell and became intoxicated by the poison you were fed. Ravenously, and savagely you ingested every lie, and followed the slithery snake into the desert. You became thirsty, and hungry for more, but nothing could quench your thirst or fill your belly, only your mind grew and you felt your head exploding. From the depths you rise now, your eyes craving to see the light of day, traveling under the sun, above your former bed will see your dark shadow, the two of you will wave, your hands looking the same, but you will no longer follow that somber silhouette, for it only contains only the bitter breath of an untimely death.

Here comes the sun

Lack of sunlight is no secret to those of us who abide in the Pacific Northwest. We often find ourselves pleading to not be cast under a dark spell by the devil of the gray skies.
Our mind, body and soul crave so desperately what the glorious sun has to offer.
Do not worry.
For spring and summer are within our grasp now, and though we still may see various shade's of gray, let us not feel blue. Instead, may we take advantage of the sunlit beauty and warmer embrace. Fall and Winter are in the past, at least for now...

The landscape within

An altered state of mind created by dwelling on this earth. A world viewed through so many different eyes. Interpretation, who's right,  who's wrong or does it even matter. Life is beautiful, life is ugly. Nature and human relations alike have provided us with these truths. May we always choose to live and love freely, and share the beauty from within.

When gazing at the photographs above, I also couldn't help but think of some of the beautiful patterns created by Missoni.

Or my own vintage patchwork fur jacket purchased from Etsy

P.S. My Etsy shop is slowly but surely coming along. My procrastinating perfectionism has stood in the way of it not completely coming together sooner...but stay tuned my friends, she's almost ready!
